A Dangerous Future. A Brave New World.
After the Israelis take out the Iranian nuclear sites, enraged jihadis attack Israel from all sides, streaming in from thousands of miles away. Never ones to let a good crisis go to waste, China and Russia make a secret deal with Pakistan and Turkey then turn on each other. The war goes global and nuclear. Much of the world is blown back to the Stone Age. Over half of the globe's population is vaporized. Massive, unprecedented storm systems pummel the earth. Huge hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and floods rock all life on earth as radiation sickness joins in to punish every living thing.
By 2029 much of the Earth is green again. Women now outnumber men four to one due to combat deaths and chromosomal anomalies. Fed up with blood and war, they want to keep it that way. The Athena Alliance is formed, encompassing all of the developed world including what's left of China and Russia. Following strict Athena guidelines women are in total control of all political, military, civic and private leadership roles. Male to female ratios are brutally enforced. All births must be sanctioned. All males under 55 are subject to mandatory castration except those approved for breeding. All breeding is done artificially with breeder males selected on health, demeanor and I.Q. No illegal immigration is tolerated. No violence of any kind is tolerated, especially violence against women.
